Welcome to our family run Inn just over the Welsh border, a thirty minute walk from Hay-on-Wye. We guarantee you a warm welcome, excellent food and we challenge you to find a friendlier group of locals anywhere in the country.

We are fortunate enough to be able to source the vast majority of our needs from a small local radius and we focus on Welsh lamb, Hereford beef and locally grown vegetables. As a result, we endeavour to make the best use of regional, seasonal produce. If you are a group of 10 or more and would like to dine in private, please call us.

The standard of accommodation is probably the biggest unknown when booking an unfamiliar venue. We would describe ourselves as not budget, not luxury, but something in the middle! We are currently a graded 3 star Visit Wales Inn, by the official Welsh Tourist body. Most rooms have been recently renovated in a contemporary style and have all the amenities that we all expect in accommodation nowadays.

Now for some numbers; we have 13 ensuite rooms; 8 double, 3 Twin bedded, a single and a family room. We can therefore accommodate 27 people – depending on relationships!

We are lucky to be amongst some of the best unspoilt countryside in the UK; close to the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons and Offa’s Dyke path and within a short walking distance of the River Wye.

Spend your day in a canoe, cycling, pony riding or sight-seeing at the numerous attractions around Hay on Wye or walking the many ramblers routes.
