The Den uses locally sourced ingredients, and serves up hearty portions of British & Continental style food, with lashings of sauce & flavour. All who enter our restaurant enjoy a bright & bouncing atmosphere, topped with a friendly & welcoming service.
Three life long friends, who spoke and dreamt of nothing more but to open their very own restaurant, seized the opportunity back in November 2013 when they opened The Den Restaurant.
A combined experience of 40 years in the industry gave the trio some food for thought when it came to planning and developing their ideas but it was established early on that The Den Restaurant was about being local, using the best locally sourced ingredients and adding to an already vibrant local community.
The Dens location can be considered hidden (off the beaten track) but don’t let that put you off as it can get pretty busy inside the rustic restaurant. All who enter enjoys a bright and bouncing atmosphere topped with a friendly and welcoming service. Expect good-sized hearty portions of British continental styled food with lashings of sauce and flavour.
The Dens layout is very versatile and is typically set up for a range of party numbers. By day you will see a mix of folk talking with friends over coffee whilst enjoying a slice of homemade cake and by night the candles come out of the draw and tables are shuffled around to accommodate large parties of people for an evening of good food and drink.
Strolling along the banks of the River Wye, enjoying the vibrant centre of High Town, taking in a show or immersing yourself in our local history and historic architecture – they are all just a short walk from each other in Hereford City.
