Presteigne Festival 2024

Established more than four decades ago in the historical county town of Radnorshire, the Presteigne Festival has evolved into a central hub for those seeking musical innovation and artistic exploration amidst the captivating landscapes of the Welsh Marches.

Recognised globally for its commitment to commissioning new works and fostering the careers of living composers, the festival has a rich tradition of nurturing young artistic talent. Collaborating closely with composers and performers, the organisation crafts and curates inspiring events, continually expanding its reach to a diverse festival audience and providing enriching opportunities for the local community.

The Presteigne Festival unfolds every August, offering several days of musical immersion spanning the Bank Holiday weekend. Renowned for its well-crafted blend of new compositions, twentieth-century classics, and revered pieces from the standard repertoire, the muisc festival also cultivates a varied program of complementary events. These include film screenings, literary presentations, and exhibitions in partnership with the Sidney Nolan Trust, as well as the popular Presteigne ‘Open Studios’ weekend.
