Discover this lovely area with woodland that straddles the River Wye. There is a traditional rope ferry to cross from one side of the river to the other. You can walk the path to the top of Symonds Yat Rock and catch the most magnificent view of the river snaking its way through the farm land below and maybe some Peregrine Falcons that regularly nest in the rocks opposite.
The Herefordshire Trail is a 150 mile circular walk of Herefordshire visiting five market towns in the county; Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, Kington, Leominster and Bromyard, along with some of the picturesque villages and hamlets for which Herefordshire is renowned.
Experience some delightful villages and beautiful countryside, including Golden Valley by the River Dore, a tributary of the Monnow, and black and white villages and orchards and woodland.
Along the way are rural churches, castle ruins and other historic features together with country inns and farmhouses offering bed and breakfast.
